Bell Centre Information

Molson Centre, the Bell Centre remains the centre stage for entertainment and business events in Montreal.

Every year, the home of the Montreal Canadiens attracts close to 850,000 spectators to their hockey games, while 650,000 people walk through the doors to watch over 120 shows, for a total of 1.5 million spectators.

The Bell Centre incorporates cutting-edge technology to ensure the perfect ambience when it comes to sound, comfort, catering and otherwise for any event, whatever its magnitude.

Whether it's attending a Canadiens' game, a concert with a world famous artist or a family show, the Bell Centre is clearly at the top of anyone's venue list. Furthermore, the Bell Centre is the perfect place for corporate gatherings and receptions of any kind.

Construction began

Area
168,780 sq. ft. (351' x 479')
Skating rink mesures 85 x 200 feet, the regulation NHL dimensions. The sheet of ice can be laid out in 12 hours.

Full capacity
The Bell Centre at full capacity can seat 14,000 to 21,500 people in complete comfort.

Amphitheatre
The Bell Centre Amphithéâtre accommodates 10,000 to 14,000 people using the regular seating section and part of the ice surface.

Theatre
The Bell Centre Theatre incorporates 5,000 to 9,000 seats in a configuration that allows performers to have closer contact and interaction with the audience.

Hemicycle
The Hemicyle uses the regular seating section to accommodate 2,000 to 3,500 people.

A fully-motorized, computer-assisted system adjusts a curtain to an exact standard configuration or to any position in-between. Full installation is completed in less than 60 minutes.

Centre Ice display
Eight-sided structure featuring the following visual and media facilities:
- 4 video screens
- 8 matrix displays
- game time clocks, game score, penalty display

Press Gallery
Capacity to accommodate up to 300 media personel.

Five television studios
Press conference
Seats 35 media with room for seven television cameras.
Five comfortable, fully equipped, private dressing rooms.
